The inpage navigation is used to navigate some of the site larger vertical pages, and allows user to easily jump to sections of a page and has the optional UCAS application CTA.
This navigation can easily turn any long vertical page into a one page site if needed.
The left hand navigation is the only shown once you are down to the 3rd level of pages, it’s another visual cue as to where the user is within the site, and allows them to easily navigate to related sibling, child and parent pages quickly.

The breadcrumb trail is an effective visual aid that indicates the location of the user within the site’s hierarchy. This makes navigation easier, pages more findable and positively impacts the user experience.
It appears in the top left of the page under the main menu/navigation.
Used when a page lists multiple pages of content.
This will mainly be used on news/event and search result listings.
